AN EXEMPLARY SCHOOL SYSTEM
Families are attracted to our proven, statewide leader in education. With highly trained staff, small class sizes and exceptional community support, our students experience a meaningful education preparing them for success well beyond graduation.
Students in Heard County are provided countless advantages to make our school system one of the highest achieving in the Southeast. Through local funding, we allocate additional teachers to keep our class sizes small. Teachers for art, music and physical education are provided in all schools. Every school has a state-of-the-art media center staffed by a media specialist. Advanced placement (AP) courses are offered in English, Calculus and United States History. A variety of courses offered through the high school and West Georgia Technical College provide adult technical education for CAD, welding, computer technology and commercial truck driving.
